How it works

Four easy steps. No training needed.

Put your location scouts and castings in a private gallery. Your client opens a link on their phone, taps what they like, and you see the answer as it happens. Nobody installs anything.

Step by step

From sign-up to your client's answer

Sign up at preproselects.com with Start free: your company, your name, your email and a password, then tick to accept the terms. Free, with no card and no time limit. Then:

1Create a project

  1. Click New project.
  2. Give it a name, for example Alba Coffee — Summer spot.
  3. Choose Location scout or Casting.
  4. Add the wrap date if you know it, then click Create.

Why the wrap date? Client logins switch off by themselves 30 days after it, so nothing stays open by accident.

2Add your photos and videos

Everything sits in simple folders: an area such as Coast, and inside it one folder for each location.

  1. Click New category and name the area.
  2. Open it, click New folder and name the location.
  3. Open the folder and click Add files, or simply drag your photos onto the page.

Faster: drag a whole folder from your computer and PrePro Selects creates it for you. Keep the page open until it says Upload complete. Videos often show up first as a quick preview, and the full quality follows by itself.

3Invite your client

  1. Open People and click Add a client login.
  2. Type who it's for, for example Alba Coffee brand team. PrePro Selects makes the username and password.
  3. Leave the options as they are, or choose whether they can download.
  4. Click Create login, then Copy the message and paste it into WhatsApp or your email.

A whole team on one login? No problem. Each person types their own name when they open the gallery, so everyone's picks stay separate.

For casting directors

Start from the agent's spreadsheet

  1. In a casting project, open Talent and click Import spreadsheet. Every row becomes a person, under their role. Need the columns? Click Template.
  2. Open Photos & tapes, click Add files and choose File each one under the person it is named after. A file called ana-garcia_take2.mov goes straight to Ana Garcia.
  3. When you add a client, choose who they are: brand client, agency, director or producer. Fees, agent contacts and minors are only shown to the right people.
  4. Set each person's status (Consider, Hold, Callback, Pencil, Book, Release) as the job moves.

Need a decision by a date? In Feedback, click Open a round and add a deadline. Blind keeps votes hidden until each person sends theirs.

What your client sees

A gallery made for a phone

No account and no app. Your client opens the link, signs in with the username and password you sent, and types their name.

  1. They open a location or a person and tap Yes, Maybe or No. The ★ marks their first choice.
  2. A ♥ keeps a single photo they love, and they can leave a note for your team.
  3. My picks shows everything they chose. If you allowed it, Download my selection gives them a ZIP.
  4. In a round, Send selection tells you they're done.

See the answers

Everything comes back to your project

  1. Feedback shows where each location or person stands, and who voted what.
  2. Insights shows each client's picks and notes, how often they visited and for how long.
  3. Download a report: Excel with photos, or a PDF made for your client.

Before you send anything, click Preview as… (top right of a project) to see the gallery exactly as your client will.

Bring everyone in

Scouts upload from the field

In People, click Create an upload link, choose the folder and how long it lasts. Send the link or show the QR code: photos go straight into that folder from their phone, with no account. Click Revoke when the job is done.

Invite your colleagues

Click your initials (top right), then Workspace settings → Team. Add their email and click Send invite. Copy the link that appears and send it to them: they choose their own password. Owners can do everything, admins everything except billing, and uploaders work inside projects.

Good to know

Do my clients need an account or an app?

No. They need the link, the username and the password you sent. It works on any phone, tablet or computer.

Can several people share one login?

Yes. Each person types their name when they open the gallery, so their votes and notes stay separate and you can see who said what.

Can I stop a client from downloading?

Yes. In People, click Edit on their login and untick Can download. You can also limit a login to certain folders or roles.

My client forgot their password.

In People, click Edit → Reset password, and send them the new one. You can also create a share link that opens the gallery without a password.

Why didn't my client get an email?

PrePro Selects doesn't send emails for you yet. Instead it gives you a ready-made message for every login, round and invite. Paste it into WhatsApp or your own email.

I forgot my own password.

Write to hello@preproselects.com from the address you signed up with, and we'll reset it for you.

Is my material private?

Yes. Every gallery sits behind a login and nothing is listed publicly. You decide who gets a login, what each one can see and whether they can download. In a casting, fees, agent contacts and minors are only shown to the people you allow.

What do I get for free?

Recce, the free plan: one project, five client logins and 5 GB of storage. No card, and no time limit. A full casting needs more room than that, so when a real job goes on it, open Billing and plan from the menu under your initials, or see Pricing, and we set the plan up for you.
